U14 Lightning Red travelled to Halton this past weekend and battled a strong field of Tier 1 U14 teams. With Saturday being a complete washout, the revised schedule had Lightning playing Whitby in a semi-final game Sunday morning. A 0-0 game going into the last inning, the girls came up just short, losing 3-0. In the Bronze medal game, Lightning faced off against a strong Aurora Diggers squad and were able to come away with a 5-3 win in an intense, well played game earning them the bronze medal.
Congratulations Girls!

Cleats were finally in dirt and the girls did not disappoint!
The U14 Red posted a solid 2-1-1 record en route to a second place finish at the UTM Early Bird event in Brantford. The depth of this team really showed through with Coach Trevor acknowledging “an embarrassment of riches” as the girls all contributed to a very strong performance within the pool of talented Tier 1 teams. The Lightning girls showed resolve, coming from behind in each of their first three games to pull off two walk-off wins and a tie. Congratulations, girls!
And thanks to
UTM for hosting!
