3-Peat!
Congrats goes out to our Intermediates this past weekend in Port Elgin, Lightning Intermediates take the Port Elgin Fastball Tournament for the 3rd year in row!

Lightning started out Friday against the Owen Sound Selects, BIG D resulting in a 5-inning mercy victory; with a final score of 8-0.  The win is attributed to speed as the ladies scored early by generating runs on very few hits.  In the 5th, JP came through with a triple and Madi, a home run.

Saturday morning brought a near perfect game against Port Elgin Devilettes, Laura threw a no hitter. Offense exploded for 8 runs as part of a 17-hit attack lead by Re’s 3-3 effort which included a home run! Final score 8-0 for Lightning.

Chepstow Diamonds 2 – London Lightning 7, the final score was not indicative of this close game. After trailing 1-0 early in the game, the team regrouped to take a 3-2 lead heading into the last inning thanks to the aggressive base running of Laura. With 2 out in the final inning the bats came to life with 4 consecutive hits capped by Crashes 2-run double to secure the victory and keep the hope of a 3-peat alive.
