Opening Season Around the Corner
As the rain continues to fall, and the diamonds are looking too wet to play on, Lightning girls have already dealt some lightning strikes in the area before the season has even begun!

London Lightning Fastball and UTM hosted the Spring Tune-Up in London, Ontario at the BMO Centre April 27 & 28.  A huge success for this first time event, both for London and the incredible BMO facility; with teams representing from all over Ontario.  The age groups participating in the PWSA sanction tournament were U12 to U19. London Lightning had 3 teams representing over the weekend. U19 Red went 3-0, Cat Arthur, Head Coach was very pleased “we had a really good start to our season, the team performed well both offensively and defensively; looking forward to an exciting season”, U16 finished with a 2-1 record and U14Blue went 2-0, Kevin Christopher, Head Coach commented on the teams overall performance "this Team has spirit and a no quit attitude".

U14 Red had a solid 2-1-1 record with a 2nd place finish at the UTM Early Bird event this past weekend in a “strong pool of Tier 1 teams”.

May 10th and 11th is the start of the Grand Valley Ladies Softball Association Opening Weekend, U12-Cambridge, U14 – Wilmot, and U16 – Stratford.

The Tri-County Ladies Softball season opens the week of May 13th.

A big shout-out to all our Coaches, Volunteers and Board Members working so diligently to get the season started! Your time does not go unnoticed and your dedication is truly appreciated!

Good luck to all our players “we love to watch you play”, “PLAY HARD, PLAY TIGHT and have some FUN”!
