Congratulations to the u13 Red team on their Gold medal win this past weekend at the John Cross Memorial Tournament in Cambridge.
Starting off with 5 intense round robin games and finishing with a 3-2 record after pool play was no small feat as the girls battled against some very impressive teams to make it to Championship Sunday. The semi-finals against the Halton Hawks was nerve-wracking for the coaches and spectators, but the girls showed their drive and determination and came away with a solid 13-7 win.
After a long wait, they faced Milton Bats Purple in the gold medal game, seeking redemption from their loss the day before. The team was focused knowing Milton was not going to make it easy on them. However, their defence was nearly impenetrable and their batting was on fire, leading to a decisive 8-2 victory.
Winning the rematch against Milton Bats Purple in such a convincing manner truly highlighted the team's skill, resilience, and teamwork. Well done to all the players, coaches, and supporters of the u13 Red team!
