In the Championship game the Lightning jumped out to a 4-0 lead after 1 inning and with the Royals clawing back to 4-2 and threatening the team used great defence to hold off the Royals until their clutch hitting display in their half of the 7th inning could push ahead 3 insurance runs to seal their 3peat of Port Elgin. Everyone in the Lightning line up contributed offensively in the championship game and defence was the story of this game and all weekend as the Lightning team committed only 2 errors all weekend.
