Silver Medal - Queen of the Diamonds Tier II
What a great start to our Season!!!
After being rained out on Saturday, we got to sticking on Sunday in Drumbo. The diamonds were dry and the skies were clear which made for perfect fastball conditions.
The girls came out ready to play the UTM-T2Brantford team. With a little back and forth by both teams. London came out on top winning 5-4.
Next we faced MSW who were waiting for us. We made a few errors in the field allowing them to creep ahead, they took the win 8-7.
Our final game on Sunday was against Cobourg. They traveled a long way to play us and we played well after the errors that were made in the previous game. A few adjustments were made with our batting, and away we went. This one was ours with a 10-3 win.
After the day was over we finished 3rd overall. Monday we were back in Brantford to play Kitchener in the one and done elimination round. This game was tough, playing against the top team. We fought through and won 3-2 making it to the finals against Lasalle. Unfortunately we were out of steam letting Lasalle get ahead early. London walked away with the silver medal after being defeated by Lasalle 7-1.
