The London Lightning Squirt team traveled to Barrie on Saturday and posted a perfect 3-0 record in the UTM March Madness tournament.
The girls produced victories over Port Perry ’06, Whitby ’05 and Mississauga North ’05. The bats and pitching outdueled the three opponents in runs (21-7), baserunners (32-18), hits (17-7) and home runs (2-0). Every player scored at least once!

Here are just some of the individual highlights:
Jordan- On base 4 times and blew the roof off the dome when she stole home.
Kyla - Scored a run in her first Lightning game.
Mariah - Pitched two strong innings to secure the Port Perry win.
Madison - Shut down Whitby in a complete game on the mound.
Nat - Tossed 3 hitless shutout innings and slugged a loaded stat line.
Kelsey - Awesome backstopping and crushed a triple and a grand slam.
Avery - Great catching and pounded 6 RBIs including a home run against Port Perry.
Sarah - Lockdown defence and a loaded hitting stat line.
Jess - One run allowed over 3 innings pitched, a sweet bunt and 4 runs scored.
Kudos to the girls for their hard work at winter workouts, it pays off!
